Space Radiation in Space Travel

Present and future space travelers are exposed to intense space radiation unless their vehicles are properly shielded. On Earth we are protected from such a radiation by the atmosphere; but unless we are shielded we are exposed.

The main source of such a radiation is the Sun; but the stars in our own and other galaxies contribute also to it
